THOMAS FENTON born in Staffordshire in 1837. Married Elizabeth Hopewood , and from the date of the birth of his first daughter Tamar in Southland New Zealand in 1864, I wonder if he came out to NZ for the goldrush. They went to live in Fiji and owned land on the island of Vanua Levu. His fifth child was my great grandmother Maude . Thomas was in a family who owned a pottery in Staffordshire called Fenton potteries. They produced blue and white china. Regards Jeanine Moss 22.10.04 |
