Hi everyone searching..... as we all are for my family! My grandfather James Foy came over to Accrington,Lancashire England from Killasser [Swin{e}ford], county Mayo ,around 1917 with his three brothers Michael,Martin and John. My Grandfather's sister, Bridget, married a Gallagher and they had a son Andrew who died recently at approx the age of 79.. she had a daughter as well I think..and when the menfolk came to England , Bridget and her family stayed in Ireland took over the farm The Foy family lived on a farm in Cartron Killasser ..possibly an area called “ Cuildoo “ if anyone recognises any links.... please let me know thanks so much Margaret |

Hi my grandfather came over from ireland about that time and met my nana in Glossop the family story is that he was selling pigs at the time. His name was John Foy he died in the early 30's at appx 33 years of age from some longterm complaint. Not sure if it could be your great uncle? Steph |
