Trying to find Gilchrist

I have just traced my great great great grandmother as being Ann Gilchrist born c1785 and died 1872 (found her death (as Ann Gilchrist Jobling) on 1837 site. She married William Joblung (I think their spelling is wrong and he was born c1780!) in 1800 in Newcastle. She had a daughter called Mary who married a Thomas Bousfield and she was the mother to my great grandmother Frances Ann Bousfield. I have found on Frances Ann's birth certificate that her mother Mary was 'late Browell nee Jobling' and I can't find any Browell connection at present - the certificate states her father as William Browell. Either the registrar put it down wrong or Mary is illegitimate. If anyone has any connection to the Gilchrist/Jobling/Bousfield/Browell and you think they may be connected to mine then please let me know. Thabks. |
