Trying to find relatives of Benjamin George Gittins b 1906 Welshpool Montgomery He married Catherine Evans b 1906 Forden Montgomery.

Can anyone help??

Matthew,

you asked on another thread why some people got replies and you didn't.


Maybe it's because your rellies you want to find are after 1901 ...... which is the last census that is available, and it is easier to find connections when we can connect on the censuses!

I just put Gittins in search on censuses ..... there are 1388 listed on the 1901 England census, and 509 on 1901 Wales.


Entering Welshpool, cuts these numbers down to 24 on the 1901 Wales Census.


But that doens't help us as we don't know benjamin's parents.


You need to get his parents names ...... which means you need to get his birth certificate!

Births Dec 1906 (>99%)


Gittins Benjamin George Forden 11b 150


Fordham is the registration district for Welshpool

The other Matthew has pointed out that you are two different people.


May I suggest that if you are both going to be looking for the same ancestors, that it would be better if one of you would change your board name so that WE, your helpers, know that we are not seeing duplicate and triplicate threads!


That kind of thing does tend to make some of us angry ........ and it is not unknown for some people to refuse to help when they think they are being taken advantage of!


To change your board name, go into My Account and follow instructions.
