Yvonne Graham 26/03/2005 Australia I am sincerely hoping someone may have a shred of information about my maternal Grandfather Arthur Henry GRAY.I have only snippets of information about him other than he was born in Hertsfordshire England in 1883 or 1885. From what we believe he was an orphan but I have found on his marriage certificate in 1912 that his parents names were George Gray and Esther Webb. We believe(only rumour ) that his birth father may have been a Polish sea captain by the name Ketchel. He came to Western Australia sometime before 1912 and was working in the railways in Brunswick Junction for many years before he left my Grandmother and worked in Mullewa. He died in 1950 and is buried at Karrakatta Cemetary in Perth. I was only three when he died.Any detail of his life and possible family and connections in England would be of immense interest to myself and my brother and sister.Hoping to jog a little thread in someones family. His nickname was 'Dolly' and I do have a little Common Prayer book that was presented to him in July 1895 as a Sunday School prize with the name Miss Green's 2nd class but no other details. Looking forward to a reply.
