Trying to find Harris

Trying to find any living relatives of Maud (Millicent) Harris. born 1894; Also known as Millie Sirra or Maud Sirra (cica 1926) when she gave birth (illegitimately) to daughter (my mother) Ruth Millicent Sirra or Harris! Have searched the 1901 census and believe that her family came from Whitechapel, London. Her fathers name was Isreal, mothers name Matilda. Siblings were Abraham, Samuel, Henry, Julia, Rebecca, Ethel, David, Louisa and Benjamin. My mother was born in Croydon and Maud/Millicent died (I believe) in Croydon also, even though I know that at the time of giving birth to my mother she lived in London, W.1, and at the time of death she lived in West Hampstead (shoot-up Hill). So I am assuming that she had a relative living in Croydon who looked after her in times of crisis. Is there anyone who could shed some light on this family tree? If so I would be eternally grateful. |
