Trying to find Hatherall

Vivienne Report 2 May 2006 08:35

My grandmother was Emma Jane Hatherall. She married John Price at Abergavenny in 1915, when she was 18 years old. John was 36 at the time. I am trying to trace any ancestors of John, whose father's name is given on the wedding certificate as Paul, public housekeeper, deceased by the time of this wedding. I have so far been unable to link a Paul with a John Price of matching age anywhere. Two Paul Prices who were publicans existed at the right time, one in Chester, the other in Stafford. Neither seems to have had a son John. The Stafford family (Paul born in Liverpool) had a son John George who died in the year of his birth 1877. I have discarded leads to Prices from Northern Ireland, the West Midlands of England, and Bedwelty Wales district, all with the kind help of Genes Reunited members. If you have any clues to add, however scant, I would be pleased to have them.
