Trying to find Peter Heaney (born Carlingford, Ireland) and became coastguard at Swalecliffe (Herne Bay/ Whitstable/Canterburyarea) around 1860s. He was still in the area at around 1900. He married Eliza Catholy, also born in Ireland, In Gravesend around 1860. They produced children, Robert, Charles John , Emily, Eliza Ellen, Maria and Ann and I know the 1900s history of most of the children.Am trying to find the Irish connection or any links at all, at the 1860s period or before, or, any other connection. Coastguards were moved periodically around the coasts of England Ireland Scotland and Wales at this time. Peter's father's name was John Heaney, mariner. |
