I am searching for information about Arthur Hirst, my grandfather. He was born in Mirfield, Yorkshire, England in 1881. He immigrated to Canada in his late teens. When his father, Fred, died in 1906, his mother Sarah Elizabeth (nee Dawson) Hirst , and the rest of the family came to Canada also. I would really like to find out more about the genealogy on either and/or both sides of his family. My grandmother used to keep in touch with a cousin in England, but we have lost contact. I believe their last name was Chipp, but am not positive.
