Holden. I am trying to trace some of my relatives who emigrated to the USA in 1907. The father and mother of the children were called Ormerod Holden and Mary Alice Wade they were married Aug 5th 1869 at New Jerusalem Chapel Accrington. They had 4 children 1 of them my grandmother Martha Ellen born 10th May 1872. The other children being Alice Ann born July 23rd 1870, Sagar Born February 2nd 1875, and George Sharples born 17th May 1877. George Sharples and his wife Sarah Anne, I have found Ships records of them departing from Liverpool on August 30th 1907 on The Baltic. They went to live in Rhode Island.I have found death certificates for them but can only find 1 reference to a Son George who died in March 1983 (if he is their son) I am curious to know if he married and had any children but cannot find any records. My parents used to get food parcels from them in the war, when I was small. Carol Bradley. Lancashire |
