Hi Linni

Andrew Adie HOPE & wife Joey Logan HOPE arrived in Fremantle on 22 Feb 1928 aboard the ship "Borda". Also with them was son William. You can check this out for yourself at http://naa12*naa*gov*au/scripts/PassengerSearch.asp (replace * with .)

Andrew was born 23 May 1899 in Loanhead Scotland and died 15 May 1956 in Kalamunda
aged 55. His wife Joey died 29 Jun 1999 at the ripe old age of 99, also in Kalamunda (the hills area of Perth, very pretty). Both are buried at Guildford Cemetery. (see www*mcb*wa*gov*au)

Son William was born 1 Dec 1923 in Edinborough Scotland (from WWII enlistment) and died 30 Aug 1980 in Kalamunda aged 57. Possible marriage in 1947 to Margaret L THOMAS in Perth (reg 328). Can't see her death as HOPE. May be living or may have remarried.

:-)
Cheers
Cherilyn

HI Linni

My pleasure to help!

They may have had more chn but can't get access to birth records that recent.

You can access australian electoral rolls at ancestry.com I think but you have to pay to view them... You could try posting a request for an electoral roll lookup but I don't think it will tell you chn's names, only those reg to vote so probably won't help.

I can only suggest you post on a Hope surname board on rootweb/ancestry stating 'Western Australia' in the heading.

Good luck
Cheers
Cherilyn
