Find Ancestors

Hello My name is Janet Hughes and I have recently decided that I want to find out more about my bloodline and I need some help. Hopefully, this is where you come in... My Granda Thomas Goodfellow Hughes was born in Newcastle in 1921 approx. He spent most of his married life in Greenock following his marraige to my nana Margaret Clark. Between them they had four sons, John, the twins James and William and Steven. They also had three daughters Margaret, Elizabeth and Elaine and they also enjoyed being grandparents to twentyone children. Both my grandparents have since passed and I never met anyone from my Granda's family. I know my granda had 3 other siblings. Catherine (Cathy) who married Ralph Curtis and together they had at least 2 sons Tony and John. Sadie who had a daughter possibly called Anne who should now be in her late 30's to 40's. It's unknown as yet if Sadie was ever married and then there's Terry (Terrance). Terry as far as I am lead to believe never married although he was engaged for over 25 years. His partners details are unknown at this time. He was also something of a rogue as far as he stories that I have heard are saying, but loveable with it. The family remained in the Gateshead area throughout their lives. Terry has passed, Sadie? but Cathy still lives in Gateshead. Someone may also remember my Granda from the Merchant Navy. I know he was in Russia? So if anyone has any information or knows of my grandparents... Then please get in touch. All information gratefully recieved, no matter how small.
