Trying to find Jefferies

I wondered if any one could help me find out some more details of my GGG Grandfather James Jefferies? James was born in Stow (on-the-wold?) Gloucestershire c1807 he married Elizabeth Giles who was born in Highworth Wiltshire c1804. I think they only had one child Edmund James who was also born in Highworth 1840. Any information would be much appreciated.
Have since found out James's father was called Ambrose Jefferies and I believe he was also born in Stow. He was a Sieve Maker. I can go no further as I can not find a d-o-b for James with his father named as Ambrose. Would also love to find out his mothers name.
