Find Ancestors

Christina McCarthy. My fathers name was Arthur Glyn Jones. I'm trying to trace my father's family, he was born in Cardiff area on 20th July 1917. He had 2 older brothers Thomas & John. His parents were Thomas & Carnation Jones, Carnation died from flu in either 1917 or 1918. He was foster out? and somehow or other the name (Taylor) keeps poping up. I remember nanny Lowe from Whittaker Rd as being a foster mum? I also know of a brother? Frank could be a half brother. I know that when my dad joined the army in 1937 he has put on his papers that John was dead, I know that Tommy has also died. Is any one out there related to us, we would like to know our family. I have a sister called Valerie, a sister called Gwyneth and a brother called Glyn. We lost our father on 27th November 1974. I have found my mum's address book with some names Ray Jones (could be something to do with his brother Tommy), Grace Jones maybe step mother, aunt Ada, maybe something to do with nanny Lowe? Also a Mrs A Walker could be foster sister Rose's daughter, there was also Veron, Rose's son,Rose was married to Aubrey. I believe Frank was Thomas & Grace's son(parent & step mother) I know my great grandfather was a sea captain who married a lady from Spain.I now know that Carnation married Thomas in June 1902 and her name before the marriage was Lovell.
