Return to Your Names -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Carly Jones (06/05/2006 19:13:19) | Update Message | Delete Message Hi , Im looking for anyone with any information on James Kearney born in Dublin in 1836 give or take a couple of year. He married Honora , born in Tipperary and they had 4 children that I know of Patrick who was born in London around 1864, Francis who was born in Dublin around 1868, Sarah Ellen born 1873 dublin and Margaret born in 1875dublin. Margaret is my g.g grandmother. It seems that when she was 16 she was sent to a convent in Cardiff 'The convent and asylum of the good shepherd. They came to Neath, Wales between 1879 and 1881. Margaret married Ivor Jones in 1899 at Neath and they had 2 sons Ivor and Thomas (more followed after 1901). James was a Coachman and Honora was a washerwoman. In 1881 they lived at 11 james street, neath and by 1891 they had moved to 2 alfred court. If there is anyone out there who can help i would be most grateful as the trail has now gone cold. I would especially like any information on why Margaret was in the convent. She gave birth to Ivor her son in 1898 prior to marriage but he was her future husbands son. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
