My mother's maiden name was Loots. I am desparately trying to link Loots in Braughing, Herts to anywhere before 1798. Help! Joyce Bonner

My Sears family were in Braughing at that time and were a very large family. Infact I think us and the Barleys were about the largest. do you have any family history dating from then. By 1878 all the Sears had left the village, my grandad was the last when he was three weeks old.
