Trying to find Luce

I'm trying to locate John Luce who was the first police constable in Swansea. He served in the Glamorgan Militia but came originally from Bridgewater, Somerset - I think! He married Martha Huste in Exeter in 1808.

My name is steve luce I have a brother called John but it is not the one you are looking for I am trying to find any one who would have know my dad Harold belived to have been born in cheltenham in1909 died in1955 can you help?
