Member Since: December 2004 Posts: 4 Send Message	JAMES McDERMOTT c.1820 Emigrated from Ireland to BIRMINGHAM, England. left Ireland as a single man. Probably c.1843 Married in B'ham to a Mary (Whitehouse?), and served as a Police Officer in B'ham from 1847,until he retired in 1882. 13 own children + 1 illegitimate (Fanny Harrison c1848). Has anyone a clue to his origins or family?
