Looking for family of John McDonald and Mary Carroll John McDonald (Auston McDonald & Anne Campbell) b.1831 Inch Lochaber Inverness-shire Scotland d.4/2/1903 Greyhound Hotel Richmond. came to Australia in 1851. Mary Carroll (Jeremiah Carroll & Margaret Gorman) b.1828 Tipperary Ireland d.30/03/1873 Ballarat came to Australia in 1850with parents & siblings. John and Mary married 20/12/1853 St Marys Geelong Their property name at Mt.Wallace Victoria was 'Loch Treig' Their children were Ann b.1854 Ashby d.1856 Geelong Margaret b.1856 Ashby d.1936 Richmond (I think Margaret married John McDonald - Hotelkeeper - Creswick Rd Ballarat and possibly Greyhound Hotel Swan St Richmond) Mary Ann b.1858 Ashby d.1858 Ashby Mary Ann Hughine b.1859 Geelong Annie Theresa b.1860 Ashby d.1921 Ararat ~ married Donald Robert Young (Donald Young & Mary McPherson) in 1892.
