Looking for any information on NICHOLAS MONAGHAN born Co. Westmeath 1829, joined RIC 1847, married Catherine CUSACK from Cork 1858. Particularly would like to know what part of Co. Westmeath he came from. Thanks to any who can help.

Hi Bernadette
This is a bit of along shot,im researching a James Monaghan (g-g-grandfather) b/1838,Mullingar,Co Weatmeath,because ive hit a brick-wall,ive started looking for siblings.Noticed your Monaghans came from Westmeath. From my research there wasn't many Monaghans in Westmeath at this time,so wondered if there maybe a connection.
