I am looking for relations of Martha Harris born around 1850 in kent. Her maiden name was Walter, and she married a John Harris. She had three children Ethel, George and William my grandfather. She was widowed and remarried a Henry Nye and had two more children, Laura and Freddy. My grandfather changed his name to Nye sometime between 1891 and 1900, before he went into the army. He served in India for around 11 years. He married a Priscilla page and I think his brother George married Priscillas sister, Frances but I do not think George changed his name, as Frances Harris was a witness at William and Priscillas wedding in 1908. Can anyone help me? |
