My name is Jean. I lived with My uncle Ted Polhill and his wife Flo, in the Dingle in Liverpool from 1961 to1968, when Flo died. I had family in the holy land in Isaac Street, Alice and Harry. Ted was in the navy in his early years, and then worked as a painter and decorator. I remember he used to say he painted the liver birds gold near the pier head. When he and Flo were younger they worked at a hotel on the Isle of Man. After that they lived in Altmoor Road in Huyton. I would be glad to hear of anyone who knew him. I've been trying to find out more about him for years. Ted was on the destroyer Black Prince in the 2nd WW. He had a brother Jack and sisters Flo and Alice. Jean, Salisbury. |
