Trying to find Poole

I am trying to trace anyone who may have info on my family. My grandfather was John Robert Poole, an army bandsman. I would imagine he was born around 1870ish. My father's name was Francis Christopher Lawrence Poole, born 31.05.01, possibly in Richmond, Yorkshire. Married first to Madge Allan, possibly from the Stafford area, then to Vera Oakes in Manchester. I have no further information as I do not know where my mother was born, but her date of birth was 30.05.11. Her father's name was Arthur Oakes, gold miner. She had connections with Wales-Rhos, and may have been born there. She had a sister, Gladys, and a brother who died young, called Kenneth. Pam Holmes - formerly of Derbyshire, now Surrey |
