Trying to find Probett

Hi I am trying to find my father's relatives. There are not many Probett names in the country but I still find it a problem. (I am also trying the variant 'Probert' as there may have been some confusion/alterations made around 1900.) My father grew up in Wandsworth, London and attended Brompton Oratory School. His mother was an O'Brien- of whom I can find nothing - but she may have come from Ireland. (She told her 2nd husband she was French! She was 'economical with the actualite' to quote the late Alan Clark. LOL) I have details of his sister, Kathleen (Kitty) and her husband. I also have details of an Uncle. One or two contact on GRU have been very helpful but I cannot prove that their trees connect to mine, although, in one instance, I think that there is a connection. Does anyone have any other connections to this family surname? ANd would you be prepared to share them? Many Thanks David Probett
