Edward Pyke - Trying to find out anything about an Edward Pyke - have very little information to go on - except a name on a birth certificate which shows that in July 1915 he was a commercial porter, living with my grandmother Alice Smith (maiden name East) in Leopold Road, Reading. They had a son Sydney Victor Pyke Smith in July 1915. There may also be a connection with my father, whose name was Reginald Eric Pyke Smith (born Jan 1917). Alice never married Edward Pyke as she was still Alice Smith - widow when she remarried a Walters in 1918.
