I am researching the family of Hubert QUINN (father Hugh QUINN), b. abt. 1849 in Ireland. He married CATHERINE (Kate) COUSINS February 09, 1880 in Register Office, Kensington, Middlesex, England. She was born between 1859-1860 in Middlesex, London, England, father John COUSINS whose occupation was engraver. On the British census of 1881, Hubert and Catherine QUINN are at 267 Burlington Street, Liverpool with Hubert (miswritten as Herbert), their son, aged 1. I really do not know (yet) how long they stayed in Liverpool, but the only other child I have information about - Catherine Caroline QUINN - was baptised in 1895 at St Mary's Clapham, so presumably they had moved to the London area by then. Children of HUBERT QUINN and CATHERINE COUSINS are (though possibly not in correct order): Hubert QUINN (emigrated to New Zealand) b. abt. 1880. Wife Eileen Gladys. (One child that I know of, Eric James QUINN, b. 1924. d. July 21, 1944. Flight Sergeant in the 75 (NZ) Squadron, Royal New Zealand Air Force. No: 4210077. Died over Europe aged 20). Ann QUINN. Frank (Francis?) QUINN (living in New Zealand by 1930). Maggie (Margaret ?) QUINN. Elizabeth Catherine QUINN, b. June 14, 1882, 37 Great Nelson Street North, Liverpool, Lancs. England. Married Thomas Burgess TINGAY. My grandparents. She d. Abt.1955. My gr-father died 1918. Mary QUINN, b. Abt. 1885. She is living in Lambeth at the census of 1901, at the house of her sister Elizabeth Catherine and Thomas Burgess TINGAY. Catherine Caroline QUINN, b. October 03, 1895. Known as Aunt Carr. Godparents at her Baptism were L.A. Glen and Adelina Glen. Would be interested to hear from anyone with links to this family.
