Have you got either of these names LOOKER OR SEMPLE in your family tree. Lily or Lilian was my Grandmother who was born in April 1901. Looker was her maiden name. From what little my father remembers, her siblings were born in Eire. My grandmother went on to marry Fredrick Semple, but sadly they divorced between 1932 and 1950. She remarried a Thomas Ransley from Peckham. I have nothing else and would love to know a bit more about there life as a child etc. Any information would be welcome. Thanks for looking.

maybe her marriage cert would give you clues - available from www.gro.gov.uk

if lily was born in england - this could be her:

Births Jun 1901
LOOKER Lily Ethel Woolwich 1d 1306

again, certificate would compare with marriage and both would have fathers details.

birth cert would also include mothers names and therefore you may find them on 1901 census. - birth cert again from www.gro.gov.uk (but worth buying if you have no other leads,)
