I believe That my Grandfather Edward Sharp was from the Burnley area and came to Highcrompton to find work he came with Two brothers .Sam ,George & one, sister Mary and a younger adopted brother Francis who stayed in Burnley. My maternal Grandfather, James Arthur Hardman was born in Heywood Lancs, he had two brothers? Whitehurst, @Charles ,and I think a sister.their father was Hiram Hardman. They all worked in managerial positions in the cotton mills and Ialso think one of them was the Mayor of Chadderton Oldham. |
