I am Kevin Turner, I am looking for confirmed details of my grandfathers father (John Robert Singleton born about 1860/1 Marton, Blackpool). Grandad was James Richard Singleton, he was born 11/9/1900 at 4 st Clements street, Blackburn, Lancs. He had 2 brothers John Robert (killed in WW1 in France), and William (died about 1918/20?). 2 sisters named Elizabeth born 1863, Marton Blackpool (married a John Eccles), & Margaret E (told she passed away with possibly medical problem). His mother was Isabella Sarah (formally Pearson) 1861 Bispham, Blackpool, Marton. when grandads dad died about 3 months before the birth of garandad, she later married in to the Parker family who then continuied to bring the family up. Grandad wed Esther Jane Johnson (father Charles Johnson) 19/12/1931, lived 58 Mary street, Blackburn and had 2 daughters Hester Rose, and Phylis Laura. All births/marrages happend in Lancashire |
