GEORGE SMITH / BEATRICE SMITH I am trying to trace my Smith line that lived in Caversham but am hitting a brick wall. My g grandfather George Smith lived in Westfield Avenue, Caversham with his wife Beatrice (maiden name Smith!) and children Loenard and Ivy. I believe his father my have been James but I am not sure. The Smiths lived at this address from about 1910 to about the early 40's. James may have lived there before that. Leonard went on to marry an Alice Smith (she was from Alton) and they lived in Caversham until Leonards death. They had 3 children Mary, Ernest and Raymond. Alice lived with Ernest in Southcote until her death. Ivy married Tom Brown and lived in Caversham and Southcote and Whitley. They have 3 children Ronald, Joan and Alan. Any help tracing these Smiths would be most appreciated. Teresa Glanville |
