Hello I have been trying to further my link with with my Stokes ancestors for the past 21 years. According to census records James Stokes was born in Limehouse, Middlesex/London, approx.1839. His daughter Ellen married my Great Grandfather William Jobling in 18/7/1880 and she died in 1899 but I have been unable to locate her birth certificate. Ellen was the eldest child her siblings were Thomas, Charles, Norah, George, Mary Ann and Agnes. I have a census 1871 with her parents and siblings and a later census with her husband and children. I know her mother Ellen was born in County Cork, Ireland and thats about it. I would appreciate any leads. Kind Regards, June Dunster (nee Jobling) |
