I have a HARRIETT SYKES I would believe born around 1820's who married one of my ancestors JAMES DARBY in 1844.JAMES was born in basford nottingham and in 1871 they were living on bar lane nottingham. I am not sure if HARRIETT was born there,

Their children were:

1JAMES DARBY b abt 1844 basford nottingham
2.ANN DARBY b abt 1851,buried 8 march, 1855 same
3.THOMAS DARBY b about 1857 same
4.ANN DARBY b abt 1855, married JOHN HENRY KIRK

If anyone can help me add anything I have missed or are part of this line please contact me.
Thank you.

Hello Charlotte

Had a look at the census records 1841/1891

Just a couple of to add,is that according to the records Harriett Sykes was born in 1823 Basford Nottingham.

On the 1891 census there was a William Kirk b 1876 living with his grandparents, he must be the son of Ann and John H Kirk
In 1891 they were still living on Bar Lane
Ive looked at all the census but strangely i cannot find any of the family on either 1871 or 1881 records.

I am not related but i do live in Nottingham, so i always have an interest .
Do you subscribe to Ancestry? i could put the record detail on here if you dont.
