Inverallochy, Fraserburgh and Edinburgh Taits. My father, George Tait, was born on the Southside of Edinburgh in 1913, and ran Dell's Library and then the Dutch House China shop. He was the last of twelve children and I fear that I couldnt even name all of them. After a failed first marriage, he married my mother, Joan Macpherson, of Edinburgh, daughter of Ellen Macpehrson, who was in turn one of seven children. And they wonder why Scotland's population is falling now! His father, William Tait, came from Inverallochy, near Fraserburgh. I am trying to locate anyone who can help fill in the thousands of holes in my defective knowledge of my family. Even vague ideas welcome. Look forward to hearing from you all.
