Hi Philip,
You're heading in my direction-the earliest we have any definite info on is Robert Ernest 1859-he was born in Chertsey but they appear to be from Leamington Warks, his Father was Humphrey-can't find his Mother or a GRO for him.Geographically your headed the right way, please let me know how you get on?Sorry I can't be more helpful.
Regards,
Carla

Hi Carla,

Thanks for the tip. I've found a little MOORE out since posting as follows:

My Gr Father is called Ernest William Moore b 1884 (Bucknall, Staffordshire) his parents are William Moore b 1842 (Staffordshire) & Hannah Moore b 1846 (Uttoxeter).

Williams Parents are Joseph b 1803 (Wolverley, Worcester) & Jane Harper b 1809 (Dudley).

Does this tie into anyone you know or have in your tree. I would be very interested to know if they do or even if you have any info on them?

Thanks

Its worth putting your post on 'History' & 'Surname Info' boards as well-people have been extremely helpful, mine are on all three!
At the moment I haven't got an Ernest born that year but it does'nt mean one won't turn up.Been trying to find mine for months now,it would've helped if they'd stayed in one place.

Is he perchance called Humphrey or Robert Ernest 'cause I'm stuck with mine 'cause they keep ' vanishing'?Be interested to know if you have either.

Hi,

Is anyone doing any research in to the MOORE family, specifically in the area of Staffordshire / Derbyshire. If so, please get in touch as I am trying to trace this side of my familt and have hit a wall regarding my Gr Grandfather.

Thanks!!
