there is only 1 Alice (Maud) Pilkington birth reg in 1890 that I can find. Perhaps she wqas registered when the family arrived here. You could always send for that Cert stating you only want it if the fathers name is Thomas ( cost then only £3)

Thomas Mount Montague Pilkington (Iron Moulder), Father of Alice aged 22, Domestic servant, living Vale Place, Crayford at time of marriage to Amos Mepham on 20/07/1912. On Marriage cert. Thomas is deceased. I am trying to find Alices birth cert. She was born at sea on a ship returning from USA in 1890. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you, Deb
