We have a note of our dad taking the pledge at age 11, at the baptist church in Cheriton, Folkestone. We know little of dads early yrs and are trying to find more about his 1st war experience. He joined up having put his age up and we do not know which regiment he was in , only that he served in Egypt. How can we find out more? Jean |

Born in 1900, died 1970. His Gran who he lived with, kept a sweet shop in Cheriton. Dad joined up at 16, putting his age up to do so. His mother emigrated to Canada about 1911. Jean |
