Hello All,

I am trying to find out about my great grandfather Albert Aldridge.
He was my grandmothers father. Her mother was Catherine Lowsley, but i am not sure if her parents ever married and i cannot find anything about either of them. They lived in London.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated!

I just checked the registration image and it says mother's maiden name "Lewsley"

No, i dont have her birth certificate, my grandma is still alive, i have no idea how old her parents were. She always told us her maiden name was Lewis, but then i did some searching and found different. My Lowsley must be a spelling error and it is actually Lewsley, How did you find that?

Heidi.
Lewella would have found the birth on Ancestry.Here is the marriage.
Albert Aldridge married 1926 sept qt Brentford district gro ref vol 3a page 551. Spouse Lewsley

Did a cross check for that month and year and found Catherine Lewsley with the same ref no.

If you order the marriage cert it will have both ages and both fathers names and occupations so you can work back and eventually the 1901 census

Thank you so much! This is such a help! I wasnt even sure if they had been married! How do i go about ordering a marriage certificate? I am new to all of this.
