John's baptism 23/4/1797 Sutton in Ashfield son of John and Rebecca :)

John senior married Rebbecca Alsop 5/9/1796 also in Sutton Ashfield.

Sorry i can't help much with the 1881 census looked at all the different sites i have and they seem to have vanished!

there is a baptism for Ellen Gent (spelt Ghent!) sutton in Ashfield 2/12/1832 daughter of John and Rebecca living at Forest Side which is where william and ellen were living when german was baptised. I too couldn't find them in the 1881 census will keep looking for you :)

you are good at this, wish i was. i cant find a 1881 census to see address and occupants either dont understand why this year missing, or am i not looking correct, bet this the case..... thankyou

I have the baptism,marriage and deaths register viewer for nottingham. free bmd has a possible death for Willam in 1882 aged 59

on the baptism register there are children of William & Ellen. William's profession is listed as a miner.

hi thanks for that k, do you know the ages or address at time of marriage please, i am also trying to find when william died and if ellen remarried before 1902 (when william had died) as on son germans marr cert it has witness for german as ellen cooper (maybe not mother, but thought try and see) thankyou again

hi can any one help me find the marriage of william buxton and ellen gent between 1959-1870, i know that they had afew children one of which was my great grandad german buxton born 1870c who married jane goulding in 1902. i know that william was deceased by 1902 as says on wedding cert and that williams prof was a farmer, i think william was born sutton in ashfield nottinghamshire or derbyshire area. thankyou to anyonw that maybe able to help. jackie
