Elizabeth Report 7 Feb 2008 19:15

Rev. George Harry Packwood Thompson born 1922 is my husband. He is now almost 86 and I have not been able to find any living relatives. He was born in Brierley Hill. His Parents were Samuel Harry Thompson and Annie Lilliam May Packwood, known as May Packwood. Her mother was a Hamflett.
I also have many photographs, lots of forebears etc. The Packwoods were Butchers and Grocers in High Street Brierley HIll and had been butchers for generations. George's Grandfather Packwood was killed by a bolting horse and cart/carriage in 1921. His father worked at Marsh and Baxter. George was an only child and we have no children together though I have three froma previous marriage. It is just that I want to know if there are any because he cannot tell me very much about what happened to them all. I also have letters written to May Packwood during the Great Wat from George Hubert Benton and Sgt Percy Cowper. I believe one of the Hamflett girls married a Bembridge from Nottingham. Almost all come from Staffordshire.
