That strange as i can't see that marriage

So then theres 2 Fred Proctor's born within a couple of years to each other and born same area

I would get 1 of the childrens B/C for Elizabeth maiden name...then look for their marriage

Elizabth is 11 years younger that Fred so i would discount the 1881

If you're not going to hang around to answer questions then i'll stop looking

I am around Julie but at times I cannot get to the computer because I am caring for my Husband. I did answer your post before this. I am sorry I was a bit slow answering this.

I will see the person I am doing this for to see about getting certificates.

That looks very promising, ok it is 2 years after the first child according to 1891 census but if Fred was married before that could work out or it could just be that they had a child before they married.

Hi Christine,
I can't believe someone would be so rude to you. I only get about three quarters replying to my help but would never castigate them.
Hence, I have been flogging my pc to help you.
I believe Fred is the son of Wm and Mary. You will find them in 1881 but Fred's name is mistranscribed as Tered!!
Fred married Zilpha Fawcett in 1880 and had a child, Bertram Fawcett Procter who died in 1881 (listed as a daughter on the census!!!). Zilpha followed in December 1883, Pontefract, 9c 58. She is probably the mother of Elsie A b. 1883. It is my belief that Fred gave up the pub to marry Elizabeth as he was left with a child to bring up and went back to his old job at the glassworks.
I must buzz off for the day now as I have an elderly mother to look after.
Kind regards
Kate
