1943 death look up

Can anyone look up the death of a B. McCartin approx 9th Oct.1942 in Glasgow .
I think he was born in County Down but not sure of his age at a guess about 45yrs old. going from an old photo I've discovered.

Stephen,
There are only two McCartin deaths listed in Scotland in 1942/3.
An Ann McCartin in 1942 age 63 in Townhead Glasgow & James Vivien R McCartin in 1942 age 28 in Nairn.
Nothing under MacCartin.
