Samuel John Hitching( Sgt. REs) married Frances Elizabeth Barnicoat on 13/02/1870 Melcombe Regis, Weymouth Dorset. They had at least 4 children, Anne Eliz. b. 24/11/1870; Alice Eliz. b. 1872 in Gibraltar; William Godfrey b. 1874 Gibraltar and Augustus John b. 1878 Plumstead.
Samuel was born in 1842 in Woolwich and Frances was born on 16/11/1845 in Cape of Good Hope South Africa.
