I'm trying to find information on the above who are the fathers of George Perry and Amelia Norris who married in December 1850 at St John's Church Clerkenwell Middlesex. Unfortunately the Marriage Cert does not show the mothers names. Both the fathers were deceased when Amelia and George married. Background information - George and Amelia resided in Croydon when married which was a district in St John. I have found a 1871 Census for George and Amelia but would love to learn more of their parents. Ebenezer Perry was an Architect and John David Norris was a 'Gentleman'. The spelling of Ebenezer was difficult to read on the marriage certificate. I would appreciate any information you may be able to help me with. Thanking you. |

1841 census. Doesn't give a lot of info and ages over 15 were rounded down to nearest 5 years so Ebenezer could have been anywhere from 64 - 60 years old, may be of some guidance though |

Thanks Pete, I'm now going to have some fun tracing John and Sarah Norris as being a novice, finding records going back to the early 1800's is not so easy. Your help is really appreciated. Warm regards Kaye |
