Hi Doreen,

I think now you have an area and approx birth date you need to find where the Parish records can be located, as you are searching pre 1837.

Hello Dorren,

I have found a Martha & Samuel Metcalf living Huddersfield Union, Parish of Dalton?(or part of Dalton) Yorkshire. c1841

According to the census Samuel was born within this parish c1781 approx. There were 4 other Metcalfs in the house EMMa (25) HANNAH(20) WILLIAM(15) and CHARLES (14).
Samuel 's occupation was bookkeeper.

Would like some help please I know that Martha Beal was married on 30/6/1803 Kirkheaton Yorkshire to a Samuel Metcalfe But can not fined were he came from or when he was born will be most grateful for any help on the Beal family or the Metcalfe family Doreen
