just wanted to quickly ask if any one can help find any index records to the following names on HARPER

ISABELL JENNIFER BORN BETWEEN(other names betty or elizabeth) 1930-1940 ? place fairford/wanage farm,wanbrough,malbrough? later married to donald moore

SHEILAH BORN SAME TIME PERIOD OR THERE ABOUTS possibly same place

JOHN HARPER as above

parents edward allan harper & rosie morse both living & working at wanage farm in 1925 when allan edward harper was born ,johns brother.

can anyone help?

Dates that late arent name searchable - so someone would have to trawl through every year quarter by quarter looking at the images of the register. Not a fun job - you need to get a tighter time span. Do you not have these peoples marriage certs which would give their ages?

i feared that would be the case,the only solid data of information i have is to allen edward harper born at wanage farm in 1925 . also have his marrage & death doc which gave some data but not enough. yes your right about the huge traul through the archives ,somthing have done & found nothing.becouse i know of his birth year i thought give a 10 year span to 1940 ,but yes its like a needle in a haystack.i know one of them married a donald moore but sadly have no knowledge of ether births & marrages,so not sure the best way to takle this,any rellies left alive today,are unreliable.so what can i do? my plan is to get somthing some solid in family dates put that data to my tree on GR site & hope i may draw in more info from other possible rellies that might be using the site. can you still help?

Hi - I am willing to try and help - found his birth but dont know where Wanage is so assuming its in Swindon area as thats where this birth is registered?

hi wanage farm is in wanbrough i am assuming near swindon yes thats where the birth of allan edward took place. the births & or marrages i am seeking is of sheilah harper allans sister? wheather allan aka john harper had a brother or not , i do know but the harpers owned a garage on the A433 at oldbury on the hill near didmarton til the early 70s. betty as i knew her is down as isabel jennifer moore on allan death doc in 1972 (moore is her married name) there no age of her here just that she was a sister to allan. so her birth record could be under isabel /or elizabeth or somthing but the family i am assuming lived at wanage farm in wanbrough in 1925 when allan was born .parents were edward thomas & rosie morse

GRO vol 5a--page 5,---------4th quarter,Oct/Dec,

2) Shelia H Harper,1931,
registered Swindon,
GRO vol 5a-- page 10, 4th quarter,Oct/Dec,

Both births carry mothers maiden name as---------Morse,

A search to 1940 John didnt show up,,,could his name have been anything other than John,??

Swindon would have been the main register area,,,,,,,,,,

thanks kay???? i think thats the one i'm after its a perfect fit. bernie the one on mary i'm not sure about the only members of this generation that rings a bell is sheilah as in my auntie sheilah ,she went on to marry a maslen & continued to live in fishponds bristol ,shes now died. allan born 1925 was known as john for some reason,i only discovered otherwise when i got his marrage which showed his age then led me to his birth. i had been led to learn that there was bothers here but no evidence to prove it.there could well be a mary but if mary is a morse only ,i am only seeking the harper lines.

Mary is a Harper her mothers maiden name is Morse
so she would be Allan's sister
she might have died young thats why you did not know about her
I have had the same thing in my fathers siblings that know one knew about.
