lol , there are arnt there , needle in a haystack name , I can see a marriage of a William to Hannah but in 1827 thinking maybe a wee bit early if Eliz. born 1831 marriage Hocketh - Butterworth Prestwich Lancashire , right area really but then sayins hannah born abt 1806 of Tonge , Oldham , Lancashire - but then im searching Tonge and map saying it in Kent - grrrrrrrrr

Well, I can't find a William/Hannah marriage that fits nor a birth for William and since we don't know Hannah's name I can't find her. I found christenings of most of the children but not those earlier 2, Elizabeth & Nancy.
Goodness! there's a lot of Butterworths in Rochdale!

On IGI a William Butterworth married a Hannah Greenwood but it was in Halifax, Yorkshire and it was 1825. Too early, don't you think?
