Hi, I'm looking for information on my great grandmother, Agnes Chance, who was born in the 1880's in Yorkshire, and was married to Frederick Carr.

Hi Julie. Copy of the marriage certificate should help, but I think I have found her on the 1901 census.
I dont think she was born in Yorkshire but was working in Barnsley on 1901 census, and as this is where she married I think this is a good bet.

Agnes Chance. 1886. 15 yrs. Servant. Born Stand Mill. Staffordshire.
Cannot find this place on atlas, but could be misreading by the indexer.

The marriage certificate will confirm or deny the age and give her Father's name and occupation and witnesses who may be siblings.

Hope this helps. Ethel.
