The children were all born in hoyland area of barnsley s yorks. Ethel 1914, Doris, Bill,Ronald ,Frank, Agnes all born between 1914 and 1920, not sure of correct dates only Ethel, I think Frances was also born in same area but not certain, they stayed in barnsley and brought thier children up there.

Your best bet will be to get one of the children's birth certificates.

Francis is usually the male form of the name, Frances is usually female, are you sure of the spelling?

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 9 Feb 2008 18:13

No I am not sure of the spelling.

Sam

Sam Report 9 Feb 2008 18:15

Well in that case you deinately need to buy a birth certificate, it will give full names of both parents. As Ethel is the only child you know the date of birth for, it will have to be hers.
