metcalfe harry ?

There are maybe 100 harry metcalfes born around the right time so without knowing where your nan was living at the time it would be difficult to find him. Also it was wartime and people were moving around the country far more than their ancestors.

nans maiden name was may but on dads birth cert it says metcalfe (so that confusing to start with) dads name is malcolm harry metcalfe there is no fathers name on his birth cert either but dad assures me that nan told him his father name was harry and thats why he has harry as a middle name so you see the problem i.m having with this

Can you give us your Nans maiden name you dads name

well where do i start i.m looking for my fathers dad he was called harry metcalfe & he was a pilot he met my grandmother around 1939 in leeds west yorkshire and they had my father together he was born 1941 leeds no one seams to know what happened to him my dad said he could never remember him so he must have gone out of his life really early on my grandma never really told my dad anything about him as she had met and married another man who brought my dad up and now i.m doing my tree dad would love to know somethng about him so what i.m looking for is a point in the right direction to a site where i might find harry metcalfe (pilot records)
