My father was David George Scott. He volunteered for army in 1938 and served in Iraq, the North Africa campaigns and most of the landings in Italy before being invalided out at Salerno. He was Lance Corporal 6461498 Royal Fusiliers. Have tried searches on internet for army records but only found WWI sites and earlier historic records. Could anybody point me in right direction to find the relevant Royal Fusiliers records. |

Have you tried requesting your father's army service record for his time in the army? |
